Before you confirm a moving date

List large, fragile and awkward items before estimating the number of boxes.
Check floors, stairs, lift access, shared entrances and the route to a safe stopping point.

Ask the property manager about lift bookings, entry procedures and loading instructions.

Keep keys, documents, medication and first-night essentials separate from the main inventory.
Label boxes by destination room and identify fragile or heavy items clearly.
Set aside items that are travelling with you rather than in the moving load.
Confirm who will be present to open both properties and answer access questions.
